Turmeric essential oil is obtained by distilling the roots of the plant and its aroma is spicy sweet and warm. The main molecules of its chemotypic composition are: ar-tourmerone 50-60%, tourmerone α 12-15%, β tourmerone 15-17%, zingibereno 20-25%, substances that impart strong antioxidant properties.
