Cold pressed coconut oil
means that the coconut oil was pressed using a mechanical method; however, unlike when normal processing is done, no high temperatures are used during the pressing process to help the coconut oil retain its natural healthy nutrients. When a coconut oil is cold pressed, the temperatures during the pressing process never exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Cold pressing is most often done with virgin and/or organic coconut oil and it produces what is considered to be a high quality coconut oil.
